I'm having trouble with that too


When I was in the Army I was in a helicopter (don't remember if it was a Huey or an OH-58) on a trip to the Pave Paws microwave radar station on Cape Cod. As we came into land, the pilot circled around in front of the microwave radar screen and all the instruments went haywire, but it didn't affect the control of the copter and we landed fine. The Air Force guys greeting us did say that we shouldn't have done that, however. They also said that if you were up close to the screen that it could cook you like a microwave oven.
Pave Paws radar reaches from Cape Cod all the way to the coast of Europe and south to the tip of South America. If something that powerful didn't disable the helicopter, I have trouble thinking that a laser pointer would be much of a problem.
